Riccio Werkstatt
Riccio Werkstatt (est. 2023) is a creative workshop based in Rheinfelden, Switzerland. The main material used by the Riccio Werkstatt are the wax pastels Neocolor I and Neocolor II Aquarelle by the Swiss brand Caran d’Ache. The Riccio Werkstatt sometimes also uses oil pastels (Paul Rubens and Neopastel) and the color pencils Luminance 6901.
Currently, the Riccio Werkstatt is mainly known for its series of drawings of the same subject represented using different color palettes. These are born from a fascination for color and an experimental approach to it. In addition to that, the Riccio Werkstatt has been exploring a wide range of form and color languages, which you are invited to discover on this website.
The Riccio Werkstatt has been collaborating with the framing workshop “Die Vergolderei” and publishing YouTube videos since 2024.
The name Riccio Werkstatt is made of:
Riccio: “hedgehog” in Italian,
Werkstatt: “workshop” in German.
